We wish to express our condolences and deep sadness at the passing of Choy Lay Fut Grandmaster Wong Ha.

He was a treasured pillar in the Martial Arts and a respected member of the Chinese community. Truly a great man, those of us who knew him may best remember his warmth, his generosity of spirit, and especially his sense of good humour that always brought a smile to the faces of those around him. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sifu Wong Ha and his family.

 

Welcome to the first day of summer!

We’re halfway through year, and now we’re gearing up for the big summer season:

1)First up, on July 1st we have a lion dance show in celebration of Canada Day. There’s always a big turn out with lots of VIPs, lion dance teams, and traditional folk dancers. It’s going to start early this year, so everyone who’s considering coming down to Chinatown that Sunday should start around 9AM!

2)Then less than a week later on July 7th, we’ll be seen performing kung-fu down at the Chinatown Night Market. That will be a Saturday night evening and should be lots of fun with food, games, and a cheering crowd.

So mark your calendars for July 1st and 7th! We’ll post more details as we get closer to the shows and we hope to see you down there!
